About Us: Overview Of The Organization

"Say Yes! Drug-Free Neighborhoods (SY)" is a non-profit organization formed and directed by Michael Jordan. "Say Yes!" was founded in the year 2000 as a Fresno, CA, based organization. Within the past 2 years "Say Yes!" has expanded its outreach to include neighborhoods in Northern and Southern CA.

Whether we even realize it or not, news reports reaching us by means of TV, newspapers, and radio, constantly make us aware of these statistics:

Those numbers can be overwhelming and discouraging. With that in mind, SY is a advocacy organization, spreading a positive message to the public:

Say YES!
To Drug & Crime Free
Neighborhoods

Say Yes! Is looking for contributions of stories 200 words or less about how families and young adults create and keep their positive attitude.

Being the founder and reserving the copyrights to this message allows Mr. Jordan to offer this message to businesses, agencies and organizations who subscribes to this philosophy and would like to promote their business for the betterment of communities and of our environment.

The "Say Yes!" approach attracts attention and identifies positive people and positive environments nationwide, and there are millions of individuals who identify with this new and lasting approach and would love to be the first in their neighborhood to "Say Yes!".

Mission Statement:

Goals:

Vision Trigger:

The vision trigger "Say Yes!" plans to use is based on capturing the attention of positive people and community organizers who are willing to make a difference in their communities. For many years we have been saying "NO" in our message: "Just Say No To Drugs", but now we have something to say "Yes" to. Many people today in this crime-filled world are stepping up and identifying themselves as positive people. Based on this Say Yes approach, we will use the vision trigger in promoting this awareness:

Say Yes! Identifies positive people and positive environments nationwide.

Identify yourself and "Say Yes!"

SY is committed to working with all businesses, agencies, or organizations working toward a common goal to promote a Drug and Crime-Free world.

SY invites all positive people, advocates, non-profit organizations and businesses to partnership in this positive promotion, spreading a common positive message, using the simplest means possible. This positive promotion also allows them to raise funds for their favorite organizations or charities, listing them as proud sponsors and supporters of this positive message.

Management Expertise

Mr. Michael Jordan as the Director of Say Yes! has created this positive message and reserves the copyrights. He is a member of the City Of Fresno Revitalization Program: Citizens Advisory Committee and Fresno Neighborhood Network. Mr. Jordan volunteers his time in training the community about the dangers of drugs and crime. He is using the same trade that almost ruined his life: Fighting Drugs. Mr. Jordan's Say Yes! Campaign has made the local 10:00 news and caught the attention of a local newspaper, inspiring a news article in the Fresno State University's newspaper called the Collegian dated Monday, October 21, 2002.

Mr. Jordan has laid the foundation for the Say Yes! Campaign. He has also designed the assorted colored t-shirts for kids and adults bearing the "Say Yes! to Drug & Crime-Free Neighborhoods" logo.

Target Market

The overall target market of Say Yes! are non-profit and community based organizations, as well as citizens concerned about making our communities and neighborhoods a safer place to live.

These organizations have the opportunity to raise funds they need to keep their doors open and acquire the things needed to continue operating smoothly, using the "Say Yes!" positive message as their theme, working towards making a difference in their communities.

Campaign Promotion

Based on the founders experience and reputation in the local community, the campaign plans focuses on conducting low-cost, yet effective positive activities. These will include the following:

Say Yes! was formed to promote drug and crime-free communities in a positive manner. Mr. Jordan intends to extend a nationwide invitation to all positive people in all communities to raise funds for their organizations or favorite charities by promoting this unique, positive message in their communities and neighborhoods. This opportunity not only allows these community members to raise the funds they need to continue to exist, but allows them to be part of a united nationwide positive drug and crime-free promotion, identifying themselves as positive community members.

"Say Yes! To Drug & Crime-Free Neighborhoods" is a positive message that attracts attention throughout all communities. "Say Yes!" is an action as well as a positive word. Therefore when other community members hear or see this positive approach, then the positive message: "Say Yes! To Drug & Crime-Free Neighborhoods" has the community's undivided attention.

Say Yes! Drug-Free Neighborhoods intentions are to enliven the communities with this positive message, making it a household name and making a great impact on our communities. All positive people will be echoing the words: "Say Yes!" throughout their community identifying themselves as positive community members

Mr. Jordan has for the past eight years been promoting community awareness, and working with drug and crime prevention programs, non-profit and community-based organizations promoting safer schools and neighborhoods.

Mr. Jordan is a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), and the Community Partners For Recovery (CP4R) and Fresno Neighborhood Networks and the list continues to grow.

SY realizes the need for a more positive approach to grasp the attention, especially of our youth.

Community members, business owners and visitors to our cities would like more than ever to feel safe, secure and dwell in a drug and crime-free environment. Say Yes! is making this possible by making a difference in our communities spreading a very positive message using the simplest means possible.

In our efforts of promoting safer schools, work places, establishments, environments and identifying positive people, SY has made available:

For businesses: posters identifying their establishments as being safe and positive atmospheres for the public when they visit or come to shop there.

For schools: posters also are to be placed in the hallways, always reminding students that they are in a positive environment and the schools intention is to keep it that way. It also lets visitors know that they are in a positive environment and they are doing their part in making a difference in that school and community.

For the workplaces: posters promoting positive environments and a Drug-Free workplace.

For positive community members: they can spread the positive message and identify themselves as such by placing bumper stickers on their vehicles and window stickers in their residence, which displays the positive message that also includes the words: Making a difference in our community.

"Say Yes! Drug-Free Neighborhoods" is very committed and determined in making a difference in all our communities for the betterment of our society as a whole, and invites ALL who have the same common goal to join together and make the biggest difference ever.
