It's a theme and motto that WestCare found so simple and descriptive. Any time spent visiting our programs and talking with our clients would lead even a stranger to understand the connection.

At WestCare California, one of 7 states in the WestCare system, the guiding principles were arrived at after joining forces with the respected local program, The Third Floor. Since that time, we have grown to encompass behavioral services in Kern County, Sacramento, and Southern California, while maintaining Fresno's first-rate programs as our base of operations.

Once an 8-bed 'dry-out' shelter for public inebriates, The Third Floor/WestCare quickly morphed into a comprehensive continuum of services, from traditional residential substance abuse programs to mothers-and-children components, HIV education, veterans' services, and numerous other offerings that fall under our expertise and ability to serve.

Thousands of men, women and children have benefited from WestCare California's approach to filling the needs of individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities.

As with most not-for-profit ventures, no one gets 'wealthy' by working at WestCare. Although 'wealthy' has a much broader definition when you take pride in 'uplifting the human spirit.'
